The Council of State Governments Eastern Regional Conference, Council on Communities of Color (CCC) in partnership with the Greater Washington Urban League presents a regional call-to-action featuring GWUL President and CEO George H. Lambert, Jr.

This call-to-action is open to the public and will offer insights, analysis and policy prescriptions for numerous challenges faced by the Black community as a first step towards a major GWUL racial equity summit planned for March 2021.

The State of Black D.C. and Maryland Action Plan highlights the deteriorating quality of life among Black households, families and children and creates a comprehensive action plan built around the GWUL core services. The CSG East CCC facilitates connecting regional policymakers, thought leaders and other decision makers in problem-solving partnerships.

The action plan discussion will take place via Zoom on Tuesday, September 29th at 2pm – 3pm EDT.

REGISTER TODAY and join us for a 1-hour discussion on policy solutions and an action plan to keep black and brown people safe while occupying public and private spaces. Experts from the Brookings Institute, the Urban Institute and the D.C. Fiscal Policy Institute will offer insights and recommendations on what the region must do to help Black families.

Registrants will receive a Zoom access link upon registration. Audience members will be able to ask questions by chat. Audience members are encouraged to discuss and share the panel on social media at #CSGEAST #CCC #StateofBlackDCMD
