Join us to learn about the latest developments in the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI).

As you know, HPAI is still impacting broiler, layer and turkey flocks across the United States. The newest concern is that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has confirmed the presence of the virus in Texas, Kansas, New Mexico, Michigan, Ohio, Idaho, South Dakota and North Carolina dairy herds. In addition, cats and a dairy farm worker in Texas have tested positive.

This webinar will address the virus and its movement, its impact on the animal agriculture industry, and concerns about trade. Speakers include: Mike Beam, Kansas Secretary of Agriculture; Dr. Justin Smith, Kansas Animal Health Commissioner and State Veterinarian; Dr. Tristan Colonius, Chief Veterinary Officer and Deputy Director for Science Policy at FDA’s Center for Veterinary Medicine; Dr. Dawn Hunter, Trade Policy Advisor with USDA Animal Plant Health Inspection Service, Veterinary Services, Strategy and Policy; Blaine McLeod, Saskatchewan Member of the Legislative Assembly.

This free webinar is cooperatively hosted by CSG Midwest, CSG East and State Agriculture and Rural Leaders.
