On June 30, 2020, U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Secretary Elaine L. Chao announced the award of nearly $800 million in grants through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Grants for airport safety and infrastructure were awarded to 46 states, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Marshall Islands.

Of the nearly $800 million, $689 million is from the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and $104.4 million from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The grants were awarded with a 100 percent federal share.

“These 383 grants will allow airport sponsors to either begin or complete construction projects that will maintain the safety and efficiency of our national airport system,” said FAA Administrator Stephen M. Dickson.

Below are awards made to CSG East members.
