Criminal Justice

The Council of State Governments Justice Center works with officials from all 50 states to help achieve its goals of breaking the cycle of incarceration; advancing health, opportunity and equity for people impacted by crime and the justice system; and helping leaders understand and expand what works to improve public safety. The CSG Justice Center serves as a key convener in the criminal justice field, bringing federal, state, and local leaders together to foster collaboration. The organization also produces original research, which informs its on-the-ground assistance and major reform efforts at the state and county levels to improve the criminal justice system and address associated issues related to housing, health and education.
