Farm income losses 2016-17

According to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), the vast majority of U.S. states saw on the income from the “Boom Era” (2011-2013).

The losses for our CSG-ERC member states are:

  • Connecticut -50%
  • Delaware -2%
  • Massachusetts -50%
  • Maryland -2%
  • Maine -61%
  • New Hampshire -50%
  • New Jersey -29%
  • New York -51%
  • Pennsylvania -50%
  • Rhode Island -50%
  • Vermont -37%

While these losses are difficult, our states fared much better than others in the country:

  • Nevada -94%
  • Michigan -86%
  • Minnesota -76%
  • Ohio -73%

The 2018 statistics have not been finalized, but we will update you when they become final.
