Conversation with the Connecticut Green Bank on Green Liberty Bonds

The CSG EAST Energy and Environment Committee’s informal working group on agriculture and forestry sequestration hosted a virtual conversation with Bryan Garcia, president and CEO of the Connecticut Green Bank, and Lonnie Reed, chair of the Board of Directors, to learn about the bank’s new category of climate bonds, known as “Green Liberty Bonds.”  The discussion offered members an opportunity to learn about the bonds, which are offered to residents as well as commercial investors, with the intent of enabling citizens to invest in efforts to address climate change, including forestry sequestration.
